Characteristics and some factors related to elderly patients skin coming at CanTho Hospital of Dermato –Venereology year 2014

Objective: To define the prevalence of skin diseases and some relative factors in old- aged persons coming at cantho hospital of dermato- venereology.

Methods: Cross-sectional analyses description. We take all patients aged 60 years and older coming at Cantho hospital of dermato- venereology from March 2014 to july 2014.

Results: The prevalence of skin diseases is 8,3%, including: Eczema 40,5%; Prurigo 11,8%; Fungal infections: 6,2%; seborrheic dermatitis 5,9%; Zona 5,6%; Scabies 5,1%; Contact dermatitis 3,8%. Hypertention is the common combination of the clinical manifestations (45,6%).

Conclusion: According to the observation of 390 elderly patients seen at Cantho hospital of dermato-venereology from march to july 2014, we found that the prevalence of skin diseases is 8,3%. Eczema is the most common skin disease and hypertention is the common combination of the clinical manifestations.
